Mountains and Waters ∣ Gateway to the Nation ∣Peach Blossoms∣
Top Location for Wedding Photo Shoots in Taiwan

Taoyuan County literally means place of peach blossoms. But nowadays peach trees have become a rare sight. During its earlier days, Taoyun was famed for the construction of the biggest dam, Shimen Dam, in the Far East, and visitors to the county have to make a mandatory stop at the dam. The most important venue in the county has to be the Taoyuan International Airport, which receives more than 20 million visitors each year. Taoyuan County is therefore like the gateway to the nation.

Taoyuan is often known for its industrial and commercial activities as well as its international airport. However, the beautiful visage of the county is constituted of multiculturalism, diverse landscape, rich floral, and a thousand ponds, which all go on to show its enchantment. There are well-known tourist sites within the county: Cihu Mausoleum, Back Cihu, Mausoleum of former president Chiang Ching-kuo, Window on China theme park, big trees on La La Mountain and in Fuxing Township. The county is also a top location for wedding photo shoots in the Northern district, and many popular local TV series were shot here: Fated to Love You, Heaven’s Wedding Gown, My Secret Garden, Green Forest My Homes, Mr. Fighting, Corner with Love, When Dolphin Met Cat, and Poor Prince Taro etc.
